Our Impact

Education Pioneers' 78 DCPS Fellows have worked throughout several departments and offices in the district. Over the years, they have:

  • Developed a new professional development plan for early childhood education teachers that pushes for mastery and holds teachers accountable to their results in the classroom.
  • Created community outreach and engagement strategies and materials for families with children with special needs, demonstrating how DCPS can best provide a quality education for their students.
  • Launched a system to effectively address teacher requests for school supplies in an effort to meet teachers’ basic resource needs and improve job satisfaction overall.
  • Published a 60+ page guide from the Office of Youth Engagement for principals to use in creating a positive school culture and implementing new disciplinary policies.
  • And more.
