Aldermanic Elections and Chicago Education: Why These Races Matter

February 20, 2019, 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Central

The Chicago Alumni Board is hosting a moderated panel event: "Aldermanic Elections and Chicago Education: Why These Races Matter." Every four years, the alderman elections determine who will serve as local leaders across 50 wards in Chicago. As an advocate for quality education in Chicago, it’s important to know the ways in which an alderman can influence education in our city. Before you vote, join our discussion which details the ways in which alderman can help champion quality education in your ward. The event will run from 6:30-7:30 on February 20 and include EP Alum, Niketa Brar (2015), Executive Director and Co-Founder of Chicago United for Equity, and EP Alum Aviva Rosman (2014), Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of BallotReady.com.
