Please note: Applications for the 2012 Graduate School Fellowship and Yearlong Fellowship are no longer being accepted. To stay in touch and receive updates regarding our 2013 Fellowships, please click here

Education Pioneers recruits and develops talented business, law, policy, and education graduate students with diverse professional backgrounds and helps them launch high-level education leadership careers through our Fellowship programs.  The Yearlong Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for graduate students who have completed their degree programs to engage in longer-term work in the education sector; Yearlong Fellows work full-time for a leading education organization for 12 months. The length of the work experience is the core difference between the Graduate School Fellowship and the Yearlong Fellowship.

The Yearlong Fellowship features high-impact work experience as a full-time, benefitted employee for a leading education organization; leadership development workshops throughout the summer with a cohort of other accomplished, diverse professionals that examine complex urban education issues and deepen Fellows' understanding of the landscape; and access to a robust, nationwide network of industry experts and Alumni.

Yearlong Fellows will be a part of the 10-week Graduate School Fellowship cohort during the summer.  Beyond these 10 weeks, Yearlong Fellows will continue to receive professional development support from Education Pioneers throughout the year, with services that include networking and Alumni events, and support from local program directors.

Compensation: Yearlong Fellows will receive an annual salary ranging between $65,000 and $75,000, plus benefits.

Locations: The Yearlong Fellowship pilot program will launch in 2012 with a total of 15 Fellows in the following sites: the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago, and the DC Metro Area.

The application and selection process for Yearlong Fellows is the same as the Graduate School Fellowship process.  Indicate your interest in the Yearlong Fellowship opportunity when you submit your application.
