As a middle school teacher in public schools, Rachel has been actively involved in education reform on a day-to-day basis as she witnesses and implements education policy changes and expectations. After earning my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of San Diego, Rachel wanted to take both her practical and theoretical knowledge of education into the realms that can affect policy changes for public schools. The Education Pioneers fellowship fit perfectly into this vision of hers, in which she also will use valuable skills that she gained during her years as a website development project manager to help implement projects that will have positive impacts on our students' educations in the U.S.
