David Turner became an Education Pioneer Fellow to develop a broad understanding of Chicago's public education system and position himself for a career transition into education reform. David is currently pursuing a dual MBA/MPP degree from the University of Michigan with a concentration in social entrepreneurship and education policy. Prior to his graduate studies, David worked at Investment Technology Group (ITG) where he managed a boutique consulting service to help instructional investors manage risk mandates and better align their trading strategies with investment objectives. In addition to ITG, David has consulted for several non-profits, developing a new business model for VisionSpirng El Salvador, and a market entry strategy for the Henry Ford Learning Institute. David has a BS in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Michigan.
