Supriya Balsekar became an Education Pioneers Fellow to expand her understanding of the systems in education reform. Supriya is currently pursuing a joint MBA/MA Ed degree at Stanford University. Before Stanford, Supriya worked at CitySquash, an after-school program in the Bronx, where she was responsible for strategic planning, fundraising, and program management. Her volunteer experience includes serving as a pro bono consultant to Aspire Public Schools' technology innovation group, on the Board of Advisors for Khelshala ' a nonprofit sports and education program in Chandigarh, India, and as a teacher at Akanksha ' a nonprofit serving underprivileged children in Mumbai, India. Born and raised in Mumbai, Supriya is passionate about leveraging education as a tool for international development. Supriya earned an AB in Economics along with a Chinese language citation from Harvard College.
