John Eric Lingat joined Education Pioneers to enhance his operations skills in the education industry. As an early childhood and elementary education teacher in the District of Columbia Public Schools, John Eric has shown his commitment and dedication to closing the achievement gap through rigorous and engaging instruction. This fellowship was an opportunity to explore the administrative aspect of education. His previous experience as a logistics officer, project manager, and building representative offered his partner organization a reformer with a strong foundation in education, as well as analytic and management acumen necessary to handle multiple operations projects. John Eric has earned both his MEd (Educational Policy & Leadership) and BA (Community Development, International Relations) from American University in Washington, DC. He is a 2009 DC Teaching Fellow and is the teacher lead at Bruce-Monroe Elementary School at Park View.
