Lee Rosenberg joined Education Pioneers in the Bay Area for summer 2010 working within the legal department of the San Francisco Unified School District, under the Deputy General Counsel. His projects included developing special education policies, drafting legal pleadings and motions, participating in negotiations and mediations and addressing employment matters related to certificated staff. Prior to his work with the education sector, Lee worked with the constituent affairs department of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and later served under U.S. Secretary of Labor, Elaine L. Chao in Washington D.C. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with honors in Philosophy, Lee joined Teach for America and taught grades 6, 7 and 8 in New York's South Bronx. During his tenure, Lee developed the Visual Media curriculum program within his school and provided after school instruction to students as a teacher with Edison Learning, Inc. Through Teach for America's partnership with Pace University Lee earned a MSc in Teaching in 2009. Currently, Lee attends the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and expects to earn his Juris Doctorate in 2012. Lee also continues to serve an admissions interviewer with Teach for America.
