Vikram Ravinder joined Education Pioneers as a member of the 2010 cohort in Los Angeles working at the Los Angeles County Office of Education Head Start-State Preschool. His project focused on analyzing the processes used by the Los Angeles County Office of Education, removing inefficiencies from these processes and developing an online system to streamline the procedures used to review fiscal reports and distribute funds. Prior to joining Education Pioneers, Vikram was a 2008 Los Angeles Corps Member with Teach For America. As a Teach For America Corps Member, Vikram taught 8th grade algebra and physical science at John Liechty Middle School, where he was responsible for significant increases in student achievement and worked to mitigate effects of the budget crisis on his students. Additionally, Vikram was responsible for creating a financial literacy program used to instruct over 700 students in Los Angeles. In June 2010, Vikram received his MEd from UCLA with an emphasis in Urban Schooling.
