Aleka Calsoyas was an Education Pioneers Bay Area fellow in the summer of 2009. As a fellow she designed and implemented a project management process for San Francisco Unified School District's Academics and Professional Development division. Before beginning her MBA at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business Aleka was Director of Finance and Operations at Aspire Education Project, a nonprofit that provides supplemental academic support to families, schools and other institutions that work with youth in the East Bay. She holds a PhD in French and Critical Theory and taught for three years in the Humanities Core Course Program at the University of California, Irvine.
