Jordan Byrne joined Education Pioneers in Boston for the summer of 2006. Jordan collaborated with the leadership of NACSA and the Kellogg School of Management to develop an executive leadership program for charter school authorizers. This work included the creation of a communication and marketing plan to attract potential participants and funding. In addition, she worked with the NACSA team to develop a budget, application criteria and curriculum for the program.

Jordan began her career in the office of U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in Washington, D.C. She then served as the Executive Director of the Academy of Medicine, Engineering and Science of Texas in Austin. She helped establish the nonprofit with a mission to provide broader recognition of the state's top achievers in science, medicine and engineering, and build a stronger identity for the Texas as a center of achievement in these fields.
