EP Alumna Erica Mosca's nonporfit, Leaders in Training, puts ninth-graders on collge track in elementary school internships.

Erica said,  "My life was completely changed because I had my college degree. I wanted to help other students have the same opportunities."

Three 2012 EP Fellows from the USC Price School of Public Policy talk about their summer Fellowships for USC News.

ʺThe work reminded me of why I wanted to pursue public policy in the first place - to learn skills for influencing systems and organizations to better serve disadvantaged kids. As a teacher, I heard stories from my students that showed me the need for improving their safety and access to resources outside of the classroom. With every Education Pioneer guest speaker, I learned more about the ways organizations are trying to solve the problem of the education ‘opportunity gap' for such students," said Jessica Papia.

2012 EP Fellow, Julia Houlihan is featured in the Duke Fuqua School of Business CASE Notes talking about her summer working for Teach For America.  

Julia said, "I went into Teach For America looking to develop my analytical skills and to lead upwards and sideways to ensure that the work I did could and would be utilized after my departure.  I left my summer having learned a lot and very proud of the work I did. I could not have hoped for anything better."
