About Public Preparatory Network
Public Prep is a new charter management organization created by the founders of Girls Prep. We manage and support a network of open-enrollment, free college preparatory charter schools committed to high academic standards, merit, citizenship and responsibility. We prepare urban students to excel and teachers to lead the way. Public Prep seeks to serve thousands of students in New York City's neediest neighborhoods. We opened our first school, Girls Prep Lower East Side, in 2005. Building on our success, Public Prep has now grown to a network of three schools and plans to grow our network to six schools by 2014. Our next school will be a Boys Prep in 2011.
Mission
As an organization, we are committed to life-long learners. Public Prep will graduate well-rounded, young leaders who will have the tools they need to pursue their passions and serve their communities ' from superior academic skills to healthy living habits.
